Our April Online Prayers were held on 25th April 2024.
This month we focused on the twin themes of Earth Day and the 30th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide. In addition to prayers for peace, APF members shared scripture readings. Sue Gilmurray sang “A Climate of Peace” and “For the Healing of the Nations”. Revd Andii Bowsher, Coordinating Faith Adviser and Anglican Chaplain at Northumbria University and Trustee of Green Christians gave a reflection for Earth Day. Sue Claydon talked about her experiences when she joined with the remembrances of the 25th Anniversary of the Genocide with communities in Rwanda. A summing up and blessing was given by the Revd Arthur Champion currently serving in the Diocese of Derby.
