On 1st February, St Brigid’s Day, 2024, Irish peace campaigners Swords Into Ploughshares (StoP) went to Iveagh House to present the Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs with a St Brigid’s Cross, a copy of the Downpatrick Declaration and a letter, accompanied by ‘Brigid’ herself.
Unfortunately, the minister, Micheal Martin, was not available to receive the tokens of peace.
