Get Involved with the Anglican Peacemakers
Anglican Pacifist Fellowship Membership Form
There are Many Ways to Get Involved with the Work of APF
Get Involved with Events and Campaigning with Us.
Keep an eye on the Upcoming Events column on our sidebar to see what is happening. Each month, we hold online Prayer Vigils with reflections, music, readings and prayers.
You can also follow us on Social Media – we are on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram – to stay up-to-date with what is going on in the world of peace-making and join the debate.
Donate to our Peace-building Work Throughout the World.
The APF supports peace building and peace education throughout the globe. For our work to continue, we rely on contributions from our generous members and supporters. If you appreciate taking part in our monthly online peace vigils, reading our quarterly magazine TAP or want to support the Anglican Communion’s movement for peace, please consider donating.
If you are able to sign up as a regular donor, this would be especially helpful to our movement. Having regular donors means that we can plan ahead in the months and years to come, knowing that we have a certain income coming in.
One-off donations are also much appreciated, of course.
We understand that times are hard just now. If you are not able to donate at present, please be assured that your participation and contribution in other ways are also very welcome.
You can make a one-off donation or sign up as a regular donor here.
Contribute to The Anglican Peacemaker Magazine
Our magazine, TAP comes out every quarter and we are always on the lookout for interesting and varied contributions. Reflection, articles, accounts of peace and conflict resolution in your area, prayer – all these, as long as they are relevant to the general theme of peace-building in a broad sense are welcome. Sometimes an issue of TAP has a particular theme, so it might be that while your contribution won’t fit the forthcoming issue, there may well be a place for it in a later one. If you are interested in contributing a longer article e.g. over 800 words, it might be worth approaching the editor first as space constraints mean we have to plan the inclusion of longer articles more carefully. Email your contributions and ideas to sarah@anglicanpeacemaker.co.uk.
Letters – new to TAP is our Letters Page. If you have a response to an article in a previous issue or thoughts about what is going on in the world today, please tell us about it! Letters can be a couple of sentences to up to 500 words. Include your name, your general location e.g. City and Country and other relevant information if you like e.g. ‘APF Member’ or ‘Local Activist’. Please email your letters to the above address.
Join a Working Group – We Need your Skills and Experience!
APF has a number of working groups. If you are an APF member who is keen to get more involved in different aspects of our work, you might consider joining our Worship Group, Care for Creation Group, IT Group or Fundraising Group. Members with particular knowledge and experience in areas such as IT, Fundraising or Finance are especially needed on board. You can email me at sarah@anglicanpeacemaker.org.uk and let me know what area interests you and I can put you in touch with the right people.
Each working group is different and might involve varying levels of commitment, but generally, it will be a matter of attending online meetings a few times a year and getting involved with different ongoing projects.
Become an APF Trustee
APF currently has 2-3 vacancies for Trustees on our Board. Trustees meet online, usually around four times a year to make decisions about the running of APF and plan ahead. If you are a member of APF interested in becoming more involved in the charity, you might consider becoming a Trustee. Trustees can be based anywhere in the world. If you would be interested in being considered as a Trustee, please email me at sarah@anglicanpeacemaker.org.uk for further discussion.
