The Peace Forum has produced a poppy/dove design ( as seen above). It is available here. Please download and use as you wish. It would be great to have banners, flags etc displayed in prominent positions in your locality well in advance of Remembrance Day, so that the image gains familiarity nationwide. You can also use the design on leaflets, posters, etc. of your own. The idea is to provide an alternative to the establishment commemorations, mourning the death and destruction of war, while working positively towards a more peaceful world.
Anglican Pacifist Fellowship Resources: APF has published Remembering Armistice Resources 2018. There are materials for public acts of remembrance and for worship and some examples of reconciliation and peacemaking post 1914. Many of the materials included are written by APF members, including poems by Revd Dr Malcolm Guite, and a piece on Remembering War by Rt Revd David Walker, Bishop of Manchester, APF Bishop Protector.
